It all began with a simple farm, high above the roofs of Nalles in South Tyrol. The location: unique. The panorama: spectacular. Our grandpa immediately fell in love with this house, so in 1939 he decided to buy it. Together with our grandma he transformed this rustic gem in a small and traditional tavern. The foundation for today’s Gasthof Restaurant Jäger has been laid. Already at this time guests felt very good and comfortable – and that has remained so to this day. A few years later, Angelika and Oswald made the Gasthof what it is today: a place for culinary delights.

Now we manage our Gasthof, which offers cosy rooms too, in the 3rd generation. The hosts always have an ear for your needs and give you some insider tips for the environments. Son and junior manager Guntmar shakes the wooden spoons. Yes, even the kitchen has a fantastic view over the valley! Careful preparation and fresh, local ingredients are important to him and he wants our guests to have a genuine taste of the South Tyrolean countryside on their plates.
